# Bid sheet

**A bid sheet is your internal worksheet where you add up quantities, labor, material, overhead and profit to reach your bid number. The GC usually doesn't see it.**

## Why it matters on a drywall job

- It shows how you got your number, which helps when you revise or defend a price.
- Comparing bid sheets with how jobs actually went shows where your numbers run tight.
