# Corner bead

**Corner bead is metal, vinyl or paper-faced trim installed on outside corners to protect them and give a straight edge to finish to.**

## Why it matters on a drywall job

- Bead is measured in linear feet and has its own labor, so it belongs in the takeoff.
- Archways and bullnose corners take different bead and more time.
