Frequently asked questions

What is TapeAndFloat?

An AI back-office assistant for the person who runs the office at a drywall sub or small GC. It keeps jobs, crews and money in a Google Sheet and calendars, and flags unbilled change orders, late invoices, Texas lien deadlines and double-booked crews.

How much does it cost?

The 60-day pilot is free with no card. After that the planned price is $10-20 a month per company, not per user.

Do I need to learn a new app?

No. You forward the texts, emails and voicemails you already get. Results land in a Google Sheet, crew calendars and a short daily note.

Will it send messages to my GCs or crews on its own?

No. It drafts crew confirmations and payment reminders; nothing goes out without your OK.

Does it work in Spanish?

Yes. You can forward messages in English or Spanish and get the daily note in either language.

Is the lien date tracking legal advice?

No. It is a reminder based on Texas Property Code Chapter 53. Check specific jobs with your attorney. See our lien deadline guide.

Who can join the pilot?

Drywall subcontractors and small GCs with roughly 2-10 crews in the Austin area. Outside Texas? Get on the list for when we open nationally.

Does it replace QuickBooks?

No. It works alongside whatever you use today: notebook, whiteboard, spreadsheet or QuickBooks.

What happens to my data?

It is used only to run your assistant. See our privacy policy. You can ask us to delete it at any time.
