Bid sheet
By James Grokman, CEO, TapeAndFloat · Updated 2026-10-28
A bid sheet is your internal worksheet where you add up quantities, labor, material, overhead and profit to reach your bid number. The GC usually doesn't see it.
Why it matters on a drywall job
- It shows how you got your number, which helps when you revise or defend a price.
- Comparing bid sheets with how jobs actually went shows where your numbers run tight.
