Terms of use
Last updated October 21, 2026
These terms cover the tapeandfloat.com website, the free tools and guides, and the office assistant pilot. By using them, you agree to these terms.
Free tools and guides
The calculator and guides are general information to help you estimate and plan. They are not a guarantee of quantities, costs or results. Check your numbers before you bid.
The pilot
- The pilot is free for 60 days. We won't charge you without asking first, and you can leave at any time.
- It's an early product. It will make mistakes, and that's why a person reviews its work during the pilot. You're responsible for checking and approving anything before you act on it or send it.
- We never send messages to your crews or customers without your approval.
- If you continue after the pilot, we'll agree on the price with you up front. We plan for it to be $10–20 a month.
Not legal or accounting advice
Reminders about lien deadlines, lien waivers, invoices, or change orders are helpful flags, not legal, tax, or accounting advice. Lien law has strict rules, so talk to a construction attorney about specific jobs.
Your data
Your company's data belongs to you. You give us permission to use it only to provide the service, as described in our privacy policy. Please only forward information you have the right to share.
Fair use
Don't misuse the site or the service. That means no breaking in, no scraping, no spam, and nothing illegal.
Liability
The site and pilot are provided "as is." To the extent the law allows, TapeAndFloat isn't liable for indirect or lost-profit damages. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the last 12 months, which is $0 during a free pilot.
Changes
We may update these terms and will change the date above when we do. Texas law governs these terms.
