Drywall estimate
By James Grokman, CEO, TapeAndFloat · Updated 2026-10-28
A drywall estimate is a written price for a job that lists scope, finish level, quantities, your price, exclusions and terms. It is often an early number, sometimes before final plans.
Why it matters on a drywall job
- What's written in the estimate is usually what you can point to when scope changes.
- A clear estimate makes the jump to a signed bid or contract simpler.
