Past-due invoice
By James Grokman, CEO, TapeAndFloat · Updated 2026-10-28
A past-due invoice, or pay app, is one that hasn't been paid by the due date in your contract or invoice terms.
Why it matters on a drywall job
- The sooner a late payment is followed up, the easier it usually is to resolve.
- Past-due amounts can affect lien and notice timing, so they're worth tracking per job.
