Scope of work
By James Grokman, CEO, TapeAndFloat · Updated 2026-10-28
The scope of work is the description of exactly what work is included in your price: areas, board types, finish level, texture, and what you are not doing.
Why it matters on a drywall job
- Anything outside the written scope is usually the basis for a change order.
- Vague scope is a common source of payment disputes.
